Sabina, Augusta, 128-136/7. Aureus (Gold, 20 mm, 7.29 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 130-133. SABINA AVGVSTA - HADRIANI AVG P P Diademed and draped bust of Sabina to left, her hair in a stephane and with a long plait falling down the back of her neck. Rev. CONCOR - DIA AVG Concordia seated to left on a high-backed throne, holding a patera in her extended right hand and resting her left elbow on a statue of Spes; below throne, cornucopiae. Biaggi 676 (this coin). BMC Hadrian 901. Calicó 1430 (this coin illustrated). Cohen 13. RIC² 2499. Vagi 1390. Rare. A beautiful, toned example, one of the finest aurei of Sabina known. With a lovely portrait, perfectly struck in high relief. Good extremely fine.
