Jovian, 363-364. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.43 g, 6 h), Antioch, Γ = 3rd officina, 363. D N IOVIAN - VS PEP AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Jovian to right. Rev. SECVRITA - S REI - PVBLICAE / ANTΓ Roma and Constantinople enthroned, the former facing, the latter turned to left; between them they support a shield inscribed VOT / V / MVL / X; Roma holding spear in her left hand; Constantinople holding scepter in her left hand and resting her right foot on a prow. Cohen 8. Depeyrot 18/2. RIC VIII 223. Rare. Splendid, lustrous, sharply struck and perfectly centered. Slight die-shift on the obverse and some minor striking flatness on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
