Pedro II gold 10000 Reis 1835 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, Rio de Janeiro mint, KM451, LMB-617. Mintage: 13,294. One of the first gold coins of Pedro II, as a 5 year-old emperor, after Pedro I's abdication from the Brazilian Empire to regain his right to the Portuguese throne, never returning to see his son. A conditionally challenging piece with only a handful of Mint State survivors, the example offered showing the emblematic infant bust boldly rendered, as well as razor-sharp shield and trace luster to the fields.
