Byzantine Iconographic PB Seal in the name of Eudokia Kontostephanina. Circa 12th century AD. Bust of the Mother of God orans, nimbate, wearing pallium and maphorium; on her breast, medallion of the infant Christ facing, sigla on either side: MP ΘV; all within border of dots / + θΚЄRθ, ЄVΔOKIA TINKONTO CTЄΦANH(CT ligate) NAN in five lines; all within border of dots. Translation: Mother of God, help Eudokia Kontostephanina. Cf. BZS.1951.31.5.479 and BZS.1958.106.2884. 18.73g, 32mm, 12h.

The mention of Eudokia Kontostephanina as daughter of the "supreme commander", possibly Stephanos Kontostephanos, megas doux of the fleet during the siege of Kerkyra in 1148 (BZS.1951.31.5.479) or as sebaste and megale drouggaria (BZS.1958.106.2884) can help us identify Eudokia of our seal.
