ABBASID: AE fals (3.77g), al-Rafiqa, AH255, A-310, citing the governor Abu'l-Saj, the subordinate governor Ahmad b. al-Husayn, and the ephemeral Abbasid caliph al-Muhtadi (AH255-256), clear mint, date and all the additional names, excellent strike, VF, RRR. This is the only copper coin to cite the Abbasid governor al-Muhtadi. An inferior specimen sold at the Peus Auction 407, Lot 1419.
