SCANDINAVIA: LOT of 36 measuring devices, including the following denominations and codes, all of iron unless noted "brass": 5c 416 (2 pcs); 10c 416 (1); 25c 476 brass (1); 25c AY6P (1); 50c 346 (1); 50c AY2P (1); 50p 502M (4); 50p 502P (1); 10Kr AY5P (7); N10Kr AY4P (1); 10Kr AY4P (7); 10Kr AY5P(7); and 10Kr AY5-10101 brass (2); all show little or no wear; retail value $500; lot of 36 pieces. We do not know how these items were used. They could have been employed at a mint to verify the size and thickness of blank planchets or at manufacturers of coin machines, perhaps to set the thickness and size of each denomination. The "N10Kr" piece is the correct size for the 10 kroner of Norway, and for that reason we've suggested that these items were used somewhere in Scandinavia.
