MACEDON (Roman Protectorate), Republican period. First Meris. Circa 167-149 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29.5mm, 16.71 g, 8h). Amphipolis mint. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, bow and quiver over shoulder, in the center of a Macedonian shield / Club; monogram above; all within oak wreath, thunderbolt to left. Prokopov, Silver, Group III, 619 (O137/R497); HGC 3, 1103. Attractively toned, a few light marks, small scuff on reverse. Good VF.
