IONIA, Uncertain. Circa 550-500 BC. AR Obol(?) (8.5mm, 0.79 g). Head of calf left / Quadripartite incuse square. CNG E-449, lot 153; CNG E-341, lot 205; CNG E-303, lot 46; otherwise, unpublished in the standard references. Lightly toned, porous, cleaning scratches. VF.

Although unpublished, the style of the calf is very similar to that on the obverses of an electrum issue at Phokaia (cf. Bodenstedt em. 21) and the reverse of an electrum issue at Mytilene (cf. Bodenstedt em. 12).
