LYDIA, Uncertain. 4th century BC. AR Tetartemorion (5.5mm, 0.14 g, 2h). Head of female right / Legend (in Lydian) in three lines within incuse square. SNG Kayhan 1599–600 var. (legend; uncertain western Asia Minor). Toned, light porosity. Good Fine. Well centered with clear letters. Rare.
Although Kayhan placed these under an uncertain mint in western Asia Minor, the letter forms present are most compatible with the Lydian alphabet. What the legends read, however, remains a mystery.
