Domitian. AD 81-96. AR Denarius (18.5mm, 3.21 g, 5h). Rome mint. Struck 13 September-31 December AD 81. IMP CAES DOMITIANVS AVG PONT, laureate head right / COS VII DES VIII P P, Pulvinar (throne) of Jupiter and Juno: square seat, draped, with tassels, surmounted by a semicircular frame decorated with three crescents. RIC II.1 31 (R2); RSC 59. Iridescent tone, slightly granular surfaces, small flan flaw on obverse, a few scratches on reverse under tone. Good VF. Very rare.
