KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 33 mm, 16.87 g, 12 h), Byzantion, circa 210-195. Diademed head of Alexander the Great to right with horn of Ammon over his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟY Athena seated left, holding Nike, crowning the king's name, in her right hand and leaning with her left arm on shield decorated with gorgon's head; behind, transverse spear; in inner left field, IΠ; on throne, BY. Marinescu Issue 81, 188 (O74/R181). Müller -. Lightly toned and struck on a broad flan. A few light marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
