Volusian, 251-253. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 29 mm, 14.29 g, 12 h), Rome, 251-252. IMP CAE C VIB VOLVSIANO AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Volusian to right, seen from behind. Rev. PAX AVGG / S - C Pax standing front, head to left, holding olive branch in her right hand and long transverse scepter in her left. Cohen 74. Hunter 32. RIC 256a. An unusually complete example with a portrait of particularly fine style. Light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
