IMP CONSTANTIVS P F AVG Laureate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust of Constantius I to left, holding spear in his right hand and shield on his left shoulder. Rev. VIRTVS AV-GG ET CAESS NN / AQS Constantius I on horseback galloping right, holding spear in his right hand and shield in his left, riding down an enemy kneeling to left; below horse, a fallen enemy, pierced by a javelin, and a shield. Paolucci & Zub 78. RIC 66a. Rare. A beautiful piece with a very attractive bust type. Minor areas of weakness, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
