Commemorative Series, 326-330. 1/3 Siliqua (Silver, 12 mm, 1.13 g, 5 h), Constantinopolis, struck under Constantine I, circa 330. Draped bust of Constantinopolis to right, wearing pearl diadem with semicircular extension and pearl necklace; all within pelleted circle. Rev. Large K within pelleted circle. Bendall, Anonymous Silver, RN 158 (2002), 4. Cohen 287 (Constantine II). RIC -. RSC -. Very rare. A beautifully toned and exceptionally attractive piece. Very light porosity and with a few tiny scratches, otherwise, extremely fine.
