D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Helmeted, pearl-diademed and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II facing, his head turned slightly to right, holding spear over his shoulder in his right hand and with a shield, decorated with a horseman spearing fallen enemy, on his left shoulder. Rev. SALVS REI PVBLICAE Γ / CONOB Theodosius II and Valentinian III, nimbate and in consular robes, seated facing on double-throne, each holding mappa in his right hand and cruciform scepter in his left; above, star. Depeyrot 79/1. MIRB 23b. RIC 237. Very light doubling and some minor die wear on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
