BERMUDA. Bermuda Government. 10 Pounds, 1964. P-22. PMG Superb Gem Uncirculated 68 EPQ.
Printed in deep purple and green hues, this is the highest denomination of the Sterling era issued by the Government of Bermuda. Rising inflation in the 1950s and 1960s resulted in a need for higher denomination notes. Approximately 300,000 were printed and issued, but that number could be less, as issuance was halted around 1970 due to the inception of new decimalized notes. Superb Gem Uncirculated 68 EPQ is the finest grade known for this type to date, and there are a mere three examples at this level graded by PMG. A pretty Bradbury, Wilkinson and Company engraving, both rare and popular, highlighted by an elite grade and a small serial number. PMG Pop 3/0 Finer.
Estimate: $10000 - $12000
