William I 'the Conqueror' (1066-1087), 'Two Sceptres' Type, Penny, 1072-1074, Dorchester, Godwine, crowned bust facing, between two sceptres, rev. + GODPIN[E] ON DORCEI, cross fleury over cross bottonnée, 1.32g, 12h (North 844; BMC IV; Spink 1253), crimped and edges made round, otherwise toned, very fine, extremely rare with none in SCBI or on EMA, and with a fine pedigree.
