USA. With a mintage of 812,197 pieces the 1898 Eagle Philadelphia is a common coin.
It is more than easy to locate in grades up to MS62.
It becomes scarce in MS63 & 64 and is extremely rare above. PCGS & NGC together have graded less than 50 pieces in MS65 or finer. Only 9 pieces (including this one) have been certified MS66 and 2 pieces MS67.
This one is the only one MS66 or finer which is CAC certified.
A gorgeous item which will complete or improve all Eagles collections.
Gold. 26.8 mm. 16.72 gr. (900‰).
