INDIA, Kushan Empire. "Samudra". Circa AD 335/350-375/385. AV Dinar (19mm, 7.58 g, 12h). Kushan style King at altar. Gandhara mint. King standing facing, head left, sacrificing at altar and holding trident; to left, trident standard above altar, middle prong surmounted by crescent; pu in Brahmi to right of altar; samudra in Brahmi below arm; gadakhara in Brahmi to outer right / Ardoxsho enthroned facing, holding filleted investiture garland and cornucopia; tamgha to upper left. Cribb, Kidarites Table 6, Fig. 24; MK 611; ANS Kushan –; Donum Burns 813 ("Maiores domus"). Once polished, traces of toning. VF.
