Laureate and cuirassed bust right / Sol standing left, chlamys across left shoulder, holding globe in right hand and whip in left; –|*//PLN. RIC VI –; C&T 7.03.061 (this coin cited and illustrated). Brown patina. Fine. Very rare, one of only four known to C&T, two of which are in museum collections. This is the only known type of this reverse for Maximinus.
