FINAL BITS. "Neat" items of intrinsic worth but typically not great market value.
•1998. Canada large cent commemorative, PF67 in an ICCS plastic flip.
•1987 Swiss Proof set, 8 proof coins in a leatherette folder (UBS price 80 CHF).
•1984 World Food Day medal of the FAO. Bronze, 50 mm, in original brown vinyl case of issue.
•1983 ANS 125th Anniversary bronze plaque in box; 3 5/8" wide, 4 5/16th " long; very high relief image of a minter hammering a coin, examples of classic coins in the background (pictured).
•1987 Four Ironbridge Gorge (Shropshire, England) tokens, 3d, 1d, 1/2d, 1/4d.
•1931 Bayonne Bridge Dedication medal 76.5 mm; from a Coin Galleries July 15, 1998 sale, lot 1311 and purchased at a total cost of $178.61--a pilgrim and a native American standing and facing on one side and the bridge on the other. Red ink museum number on the edge.
•Æ tokens, mostly "so-called dollar" sizes: 1983, Suffolk County Tercentenary; 1986 Columbia South Carolina Bicentennial; 1997 Stacks Rare Coins medal; a smaller US Mint Medal noting the First Steam coinage of 1836; a 1988 Kolbe. All as made, "Mint State." A fascinating group with a neatly printed index card describing each item and its source.
