Pr-3044. Struck in the name of Alexander III (the Great). Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and scepter; Nike flying right above Caduceus in left field; monogram below throne. A less commonly seen Alexander Tetradrachm, this being our first offering of this Price number, the present example offers charming strike quality and is well centered on the flan. Some surface roughness is noted, but very little evidence of actual circulation presents itself.
