MACEDON. Kingdom of Macedon. Philip III, 323-317 B.C. AR Tetradrachm (16.59 gms), Tyre Mint, dated RY 28 of 'Ozmilk (322/1 B.C.). NGC Ch EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5.
Pr-3272 (Ake). Struck in the name of Alexander III (the Great). Obverse: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; Reverse: Zeus seated left on throne, holding scepter and eagle; in left field, -|O (Phoenician 'K [= 'Ozmilk]) above || ||| ||| = (date [28 in Phoenician]); Phoenician A below throne. Quite well centered and struck, with a deep gray tone and very little handling throughout.
