AFGHANISTAN. Mohur, AH 1256 (1840). Kabul Mint. Shah Shuja' al-Mulk. PCGS Genuine--Plugged, AU Details.
Fr-11; cf. KM-487 (date not listed); Album-3144. Weight: 7.42 gms. Struck during the First Anglo-Afghan War (1839-1842). Boldly struck and with well defined devices, this handsome looking piece offers a pleasing appearance. Close inspection reveals that the edges have been severely clipped, more than 2.5 gms, and a crudely plugged hole at 7 o'clock accounting for the details designation. Despite its shortcomings, a presentable example of the type for the collector on a budget.
