SWITZERLAND. Germany - Switzerland. Henry Dunant/Founding of the Red Cross Gold Medal of 20 Ducats Weight, ND (ca. 1963). Munich Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-61.
Diameter: 50mm; Weight: 70.00 gms. Obverse: Head left; Reverse: Male figures kneeling right, providing sustenance to another male figure reclining to lower right, in need of medical care; all set over patterned Swiss Cross, with XX/DUK to upper left. Edge: BAYER HAUPTMUNZAMT #17. An INCREDIBLY RARE large medallic issue in gold, this commemorative, likely struck to honor the centennial of the founding of the Red Cross, features an alluring degree of frosting to the devices as well as shimmering luster. Though unmarked with respect to its fineness, it is very likely near or above 90%, leaving just over 2 ounces of gold in addition to the RARITY.

Estimate: $4000 - $5000
