According to mythology, the hero Dardanos comes from Samothrace to the city of Ilion in the Troas region. On his way to the region, he brought Palladion with him to present to the Ilionians as a gift. Dardanos marries the daughter of the king of Ilion. The lands of the city of Dardanos are gifted to Dardanos and the city of Dardanos is established. Palladion remains the protector of the city in Ilion. It is believed that as long as this famous statue exists, Ilion will continue to live as a free city. On the obverse of this coin, the founding hero of the city of Dardanos is seen on a horse. On the reverse is the rooster, the symbol of Dardanos, and Palladion, the symbol of Ilion, right in front of it. This coin is a symbol of the relations between the two cities!
