LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 470-440 BC. Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 8.11 g, 12 h), dumpy incuse issue. META Barley ear of seven grains; border of dots. Rev. Incuse Barley ear of seven grains, as above but incuse; rayed border. HGC 1, 1029. HN III 1484. Noe Class 235-9. Rare and with a most attractive light toning. Thin die-breaks on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
