SICILY. Akragas. Circa 400-380 BC. Hemilitron (Bronze, 26 mm, 17.26 g, 10 h). ΑΚΡΑΓΑΣ Head of the youthful river god Akragas, with small horn on his forehead and with his hair bound with a taenia. Rev. Eagle, with head turned back, standing to left with closed wings on Ionic column capital; to right, six pellets; to left, crab. HGC 2, 139. CNS 89. SNG ANS 1097. Green and brown patina with some red. Rare. Surface roughness, otherwise, very fine.
