SICILY. Syracuse. Pyrrhos, 278-276 BC. (Bronze, 23.5 mm, 10.67 g, 1 h). ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ Head of youthful Herakles to left, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. Athena Promachos advancing tο right, wielding thunderbolt held aloft in her right hand, shield on her left arm. CNS 175. HGC 2, 1450. Scarce and with attractive green patina. Minor porosity, otherwise, very fine.
