KINGS OF MACEDON. Kassander, 305-298 BC. (Bronze, 15 mm, 3.36 g, 5 h), Pella or Amphipolis, circa 305-297. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ KAΣΣANΔΡOΥ Lion standing left, breaking javelin with its jaws; before, star. HGC 3.1, 996. Cf. SNG Alpha Bank 941 (star below lion). Dark brown patina. Slightly rough, otherwise, very fine.
