EUBOIA. Histiaia. Circa 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 13 mm, 2.25 g, 12 h). Head of the nymph Histiaia to right, with her hair rolled and bound with a wreath of ivy leaves and berries, wearing a drop earring and a pearl necklace. Rev. ΙΣΤΙ - [ΑΙΕΩΝ] Nymph seated to right on stern of galley, holding stylis in her left hand and resting her right on the deck; on the side of the stern, six-rayed star. BCD Euboia 412-3. HGC 4, 1525. Old collection toning. Good very fine.
