Achaian League monogram flanked by harpe above, and AΦ momogram below; the whole within laurel wreath, tied above. Agrinion 307 (same dies). BCD Peloponnesos 1135 (same dies). Benner 9. Clerk 149. HGC 5, 716. Lustrous and clear. Struck on a broad flan from dies of fine style. Very rare. About extremely fine.


The wreath on the generally rare Achaian League hemidrachms of Argos is very often depicted to be tied above instead of below. This is certainly unusual in the series of Achaian league hemidrachms.
