Tetradrachms with the bust of Antonia were only issued during the first three regnal years of Claudius' reign. They were minted to honour his deceased mother, Antonia Minor. The title of Augusta (ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗ) was posthumously bestowed on Antonia in AD 41.
