The penultimate denomination in the 1924 series from the Free City of Danzig, and a very scarce note in uncirculated grades. Danzig (or Gdansk) is a city in Polish that was a semi-autonomous city state between 1920 and 1939, and has note issuing privileges as a result (notes had previously been issued for Danzig as well). Popular with both Polish and German collectors, many issues are scarce in high grade, including this one. The first we have handled and a pleasing example of this high denomination note.
