LUCANIA, Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. AR Distater – Double Nomos (26mm, 15.88 g, 12h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla holding trident; ΣΩ on neck guard / Bull butting right; ΣΩΓ above, AP monogram between hind legs, bird flying right before foreleg. Noe, Thurian H26/H28-30 (for obv./rev.); HN Italy 1819. Good VF, struck from worn dies.
