ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. Circa 170-150 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 13 mm, 1.44 g, 12 h), 'Plinthophoric' coinage, Dexikrates, magistrate. Radiate head of Helios facing slightly to right. Rev. ΔΕΞΙΚΡΑ[ΤΗΣ] / P - O Rose with bud to right; to left, winged kerykeion; to right, T; all within incuse square. HGC 6, 1462. Jenkins, Rhodian, Group B, 37. SNG Keckman 642. Light marks and with minor traces of corrosion on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
