CENTRAL EUROPE. Noricum (East). Circa 2nd-1st centuries BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 11.19 g, 11 h), 'Samobor A' type. Celticized head of Apollo to left, wearing three-strand pearl diadem. Rev. Celticized horse prancing left. Dembski 866. Göbl, Noricum, pl. 22, 6-12 (V29a/R91). Lanz 160 (same dies). A fresh and attractive piece with an exceptionally complete obverse. The reverse struck slightly off center and with light doubling, otherwise, good extremely fine.
