NORTHWEST GAUL. Baiocassi. 2nd-1st century BC. Stater (Bronze, 18 mm, 6.44 g), 'au sanglier' type. Celticized male head to right, surmounted by a boar. Rev. Devolved charioteer, driving a cart drawn by a centaur to right, holding reins in his right hand and a long branch ending in a vexillum-like banner in his left; below, boar to right. DT 2263. LT -. Struck on a somewhat irregular flan, otherwise, very fine.
