LOWER DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. Circa 2nd-1st centuries BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 14.70 g), imitating Philip III of Macedon. Convex surface with irregular lines near the edge. Rev. Celticized Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram; below throne, Z; to right, imitative legend. Dembski 1483. Flesche 744. Lanz 921-4. OTA 579/13 var. Nicely toned. Very fine.
