CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 325-280 BC. Diobol (Silver, 11 mm, 1.15 g, 11 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet adorned with Skylla. Rev. ΑΤ Herakles kneeling right, strangling the Nemean lion; to left, ΣΙ; above, Ρ. HGC 1, -. HN III -, but cf. 976 (different controls). SNG ANS -. SNG Paris -. Apparently unrecorded with these controls. Beautifully toned and attractive. Some die rust on obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
