Mn. Cordius Rufus, 46 BC. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 4.26 g, 6 h), Rome. RVFVS III VIR Jugate heads of the Dioscuri to right, wearing laureate pilei surmounted by stars. Rev. MN CORDIVS Venus Verticordia standing front, head to left, holding scales in right hand and scepter in her left; cupid perched on her shoulder. Babelon (Cordia) 2a. Crawford 463/1a. RBW 1606. Sydenham 976. Nicely toned. Struck from slightly worn dies and with minor flan faults, otherwise, very fine.
