LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 540-510 BC. Stater (Silver, 28 mm, 8.08 g, 12 h). META Ear of barley with eight grains; border of dots within two concentric linear circles. Rev. Incuse ear of barley with eight grains; rayed border. HN Italy 1479. Noe Class VI, 114. Nicely toned and well struck, an attractive piece. Minor flan faults on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
