LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.91 g, 10 h). Head of Demeter to right, wearing wreath of barley ears, pendant earring and pearl necklace; before, ΔΑΙ. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; above leaf, plow; below leaf, MAX. HN Italy 1581. Johnston Class C, 1.35. The obverse struck from a somewhat corroded die, otherwise, good very fine.
