Elagabalus, 218-222. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.53 g, 6 h), Antiochia, 218-219. IMP ANTONINVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right, seen from behind. Rev. SPEI PERPETVAE Spes advancing left, holding flower in her right hand and raising her skirt with her left. BMC 313. Cohen 273. RIC 199. A very attractive piece with a lovely eastern portrait. Slightly brushed, otherwise, extremely fine.
