Aemilian, 253. Antoninianus (Silvered bronze, 20 mm, 4.00 g, 1 h), irregular mint (?). IMP AEMILIANVS PIVS FEL AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Aemilian to right, seen from behind. Rev. APOL CONSERVAT Apollo standing front, head to left, holding branch in his right hand and resting his left on lyre set on rock. Cf. Cohen 2 and RIC 1 (for prototype). Somewhat rough, otherwise, good very fine.
This coin is unusual in that it was struck from dies of official style, but the metal is clearly heavily debased, pointing towards a contemporary imitation.
