Facing nimbate bust of the Virgin orans, wearing pallium and maphorium; in field to left, M over ΘΚ, to right, Θ over RΘ. Rev. Facing bust of Romanus IV, wearing crown and loros, holding patriarchial cross in his right hand and globus cruciger in his left; all within triple linear border ornamented with four Δ. DOC 7. SB 1865A. Very rare. Harshly cleaned and porous, otherwise, about very fine.
