ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. Al-Muqtadir, second reign, AH 296-317 / AD 908-929. 'Amiri' Dinar (Gold, 18 mm, 1.77 g, 6 h), citing the caliph al-Muqtadir billah, San'a', AH 311 = AD 923/4. Bernardi 241El. The flan bent and straightened and somewhat clipped, otherwise, very fine.


These well struck 'amiri' dinars of fine style were occasionally issued after AH 303 by the Ya'furid amirs in San'a.
