Penny (Silver, 17.5 mm, 1.13 g, 6 h), short cross type, moneyer Godric, London, circa 1029-1035/6. ✠CNVT RECX Diademed and cuirassed bust of Cnut to left, holding scepter in his right hand. Rev. ✠GODRIC ON LVND Small voided cross with circle in center. SCBC 1159. A lightly toned and sharply struck example. Good extremely fine.
