TAURIC CHERSONESOS. Chersonesos. AE (Bronze, 21 mm, 3.27 g, 1 h), circa 250-275 AD. ЄΛЄΥΘЄΡΑC Draped bust of Chersonas to right, wearing laurel wreath; to right, lyre. Rev. ΧΕΡCONHCOY Artemis Parthenos standing facing, head to right, holding bow and arrow in her left hand and hurling javelin with her right; at her feet to left, stag standing left. SNG Moskau 4153-7. Somewhat smoothed, otherwise, about very fine.
