KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 14.16 g, 11 h), Amphipolis, struck under Antipater or Polyperchon, circa 323/2-316/5. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦIΛIΠΠOY Young jockey, holding palm frond in his right hand and reins in his left, riding horse to right; below horse, crescent; below raised foreleg, Π. Le Rider p. 123 and pl. 46, 4. Small scuffs on the obverse and a test cut on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
